As an academic institution with a thriving research program, Maria Fareri Children's Hospital recently celebrated the work of young researchers during the 8th Annual Paul K. Woolf, MD Pediatric Trainee Research Day. We congratulate all for their dedication, results, and future research successes.

Winner of Best Quality Research Abstract Award, Priya Misra, MD, a pediatric resident, presents "Preventing Sudden Cardiac Death in the Pediatric Population: Improving Utilization of the American Heart Association 14-Element Guideline to Pre-Participation Evaluation."

Amanda Rahman, DO, a neonatology fellow presents "Exclusive Human Milk Diet is Associated with a Decreased Incidence of Severe Intraventricular Hemorrhage in Extremely Low Birth Weight Infants," which was recognized as Best Clinical Research Abstract.

Pediatric hematology, oncology and stem cell transplantation fellow, Guarrav Nayyar, MD, PhD, received Best Translational Research Abstract recognition for "Combining Dinutuximab with Alt-803 (Il-15 Superagonist) Significantly Improves the Activity of Ex Vivo Expanded Natural Killer Cells Against Gd2+ Pediatric Solid Tumors (St)"

A roomful of pediatric sub-specialists listen to Selena Levine, DO, present her Best Basic Research Abstract: "Ruxolitinib Significantly Enhances in Vitro Apoptosis in Hodgkin Lymphoma (Hl) and Primary Mediastinal B-Cell Lymphoma (Pmbl) and Survival in a Lymphoma Xenograft Murine Mouse"
