Pediatric Infectious Diseases

The division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases at Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital at Westchester Medical Center provides pediatricians and parents alike with expert consultation for the diagnosis, treatment and management of all acute and chronic infections in children.  The division works in concert with other pediatric subspecialties at Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital – such as pediatric intensive care and hematology/oncology on illness identification and care.

The group’s doctors, all of whom are specially trained in pediatric infectious disease medicine, provide care for the widest variety of conditions from common viral infections to severe infections due to rare pathogens.  This includes Lyme disease and other tick-borne illness so prevalent in the region.
